Inland Marine Underwriters Association (IMUA) is a national organization with more than 400 member companies that represent over 90 percent of inland marine insurers. Members of this association are provided with comprehensive training and educational programs, industry analysis and seminars. Every year IMUA organizes a meeting for all interested people with the aim to renew friendships and learn more about the forces that impact the industry.
Previously, to become a participant of the association’s annual meeting, a person had to fill out a paper form and send it by mail. This was very time-consuming for organizations and groups of people who wanted to come to the meeting together. Tri-Media agency licensee: New York-based RFC&P was asked to find a solution for those participants who want to apply and pay online. The strategy & development team’s worked to understand and plan all the little nuances that could make the registration and payment processes online more straightforward and flexible, in developing an online registration and e-commerce solution.
The result, IMUA’s online registration processing is designed to fully comply with the look and feel of the IMUA web site. Participants can register themselves and apply as many people as needed; in both cases the process requires minimum time and effort. Upgrade features include a ‘registration delay’, making it possible to delay the registration in progress and proceed with it later; all preferences are saved in the system and can be reviewed and edited at any time. Staying online, registrars can check additional information on the meeting agenda, hotel and resort where the meeting will be hosted.
Among other advantages of the online registration site, is the ability for IMUA’s administrator to generate customized reports (to track the number of registrants, their personal and recreational details), etc.
