Tri-Media President Featured Speaker at DMA Winter Breifing

 

Albert Iannantuono, President and CEO of Tri-Media Integrated Marketing Technologies was a feature speaker at this past week’s DMA Agency Winter Executive Briefing in Tucson Arizona.

The event, held at Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona on January 25th and 26th, 2008 was designed to address some of the most pressing issues in the Agency and Marketing businesses today. The conference's theme this year: The New Challenges of Running a Successful Agency.

The presentation delivered to international DMA members: Adopt, Adapt, Adept, or Die, focused on the quickly evolving world of Internet marketing strategies and what successful marketing agencies must do to survive in this new world. During the presentation, Mr. Iannantuono introduced the concept of Agency 2.0 making reference to the frequently used term: Marketing 2.0. Becoming an Agency 2.0 means that it has found a successful (meaning profitable) way to delivery fully integrated marketing communication programs while merging the very different operating practices of a traditional marketing/ad agency with Internet and software technologies.

Specifically, a proven business case was presented, which illustrated that to survive, an agency must Adopt a business model that allows it to compete in the changing marketplace; they must Adapt the new technologies needed to address today’s ‘citizen 3.0’ (referencing the global audience who demand faster, more personalized and even more relevant communications in order to earn their attention and patronage); and most importantly become Adept at deploying those technologies to deliver truly integrated marketing communication programs beyond traditional media.

Further, Mr. Iannantuono presented a compelling business case comparing the various options available to agencies that will allow them to become an ‘Agency 2.0’, which featured hiring a development team, buying a development firm or simply outsourcing; eventually detailing first-hand experience on the Licensed Agency Network model that has proven most successful for many agencies around North America.
